Terms of use
A few rules to keep the bot running smoothly for everyone. Using the bot means you agree to what follows.
Agreeing to the terms
By inviting the bot to a server or using its commands, you agree to this page, to the Privacy page, and to Discord's own terms.
What the bot does
musiDISCORD plays music into voice channels from links, track names or a library of music files, and lets you control playback with commands and buttons. Version 2.0 adds a smart music library, a music quiz, stats, Wrapped, lyrics and a 24/7 mode. The bot is provided as is: it may break, pause or change at any time, and there is no commitment on uptime.
Music sources and copyright
- You are responsible for what you ask the bot to play and for having the right to play it.
- YouTube, SoundCloud and Spotify have their own terms. You are responsible for complying with them when using their links through the bot.
- Files in the music folder must be files you have the right to use.
The music library and content you add
- You are responsible for the legality of every music file, cover image and lyrics file (.lrc) you put in the bot's library, and for how you use the bot to play them, especially in public servers.
- The music quiz and
/nhaajtonly use music in the host's own library. - Lyrics looked up online (if enabled) belong to their owners; the bot only displays them and grants you no additional rights.
Submitting files and suggesting tracks
- Only submit through
/contributefiles that you own or are allowed to share, and you confirm this when you submit. - The bot owner may reject or remove any file from the library at any time.
- The project does not provide any way to download music from third-party sites.
/requestonly records a suggestion; the bot never downloads or opens the link you give it.
Stats, badges, 24/7 mode
Stats, leaderboards, badges and Wrapped are just for fun and have no other value. The bot stores and uses that data as described on the Privacy page, and you can turn off or delete your part with /privacy. 24/7 mode may be turned off or limited depending on the machine running the bot, and there is no commitment on uptime.
Behavior that is not allowed
- Using the bot to harass others, disrupt the voice channel or spam commands.
- Trying to overload the bot or the machine behind it, or looking for ways around permissions set by a server (such as the DJ role).
- Violating Discord's terms or community guidelines while using the bot.
The bot maintainer's rights
The bot maintainer (nhaajt) may block a server or user who abuses the bot, change features, or shut the bot down, including without notice when needed to protect the bot and other users.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the bot maintainer is not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the bot, such as an interrupted listening session or a lost queue.
Changes to the terms
These terms may be updated. The most recent update date is at the top of the page. Continuing to use the bot after an update means you accept the new version.
